We Would Love To Do the Trimming and Pruning For You
-
Trimming
Trimming of your shrubs, hedges, and trees allows for them to keep from becoming overgrown and gives a maintained look to your overall outdoor space.
-
Pruning In-Season
Pruning is the process of selectively determining what to eliminate from your shrubs, hedges, and more importantly, the trees to help them thrive health-wise.
In-season pruning is more so considered maintenance in nature, as the cutting of live branches is highly discouraged until the winter.
We will, however, cut suckers, and crossed twigs and baby branches to help keep the trees healthy.
*Branches over wires should be done by contacting the electric company you use.
-
Winter Tree Pruning
Winter is the best time to have major pruning on your trees. This time of year we can cut branches that are not only dead, but are also crossing, or growing incorrectly.
Winter pruning decreases the possibility of disease or insect infections which occurs with this type of pruning during other times of the year.

Improve tree health
A young tree's long-term structure is dictated by proper pruning before the trunk matures.
A lack of care or improper cutting could lead to double trunks, weak branches, incect invasions, and disease.

Increase Visual appeal
Overgrown shrubs and hedges just look bad, and bring an unkept look and feel to the entire property. Keeping them trimmed during the growing season proves to be an enhancement to the overall beauty of your landscape.

Get it done right
A common mistake is taking a gas or electric hedge trimmer and doing all the trimming and pruning with them, to make quick work of the job to be done. This is by homeowners and so-called professionals.
But there are pole saws, pole pruners, hand pruners, hand pruning saws, loopers, and hedge trimmers. Each tool is used for specific projects and parts of the hedge, shrub, or tree to trim and prune them correctly.
If you care about the health of the shrubs and trees, please call the experienced pros at Kevin J Services! We have the proper trimming and hedging tools and the knowledge of what to use and when.
